Sol Home

Welcome to Solhome.

We’re home to the North Texas and Oklahoma region astronomy club, which was founded in 2003 to help bring the enchanting, dark Texas night sky to the residents of the area. Here at Solhome, we also believe fairly strongly in conserving our earth environment, and are deeply interested in energy efficiency. That’s why on our site, you can find articles about solar powered homes, community housing and gardens, and ways to go green, among other like-minded topics.

Yup – we manage to tie it all together here at Solhome. The general rule is if it’s solar-related, you’ll find information about it here on this site.

So, we urge you to find out more. Visit our Solar Homes page for great designs of solar-powered housing options. Go to our Community Housing page to look into ways that groups of people have structured their living arrangements that benefit each other and the group as a whole. Ditto for the environmentally-minded horticulturists which you can learn more about on our Community Gardens page.

A sustainable world requires affordable standards, and when the balance gets skewed, ideas surface to take advantage of financial inefficiencies. One great example of this is medical tourism, whose success is dependent on huge pricing differentials among developed and emerging health care systems.

Browse and contact us at your leisure. We’ll be standing by enjoying wine gift baskets at our leisure!
